hi all,
I have safely arrived in Dublin, and am exhausted after having slept only one hour today. Dublin is very expensive, at least close to where my hostel is... I flew in with the amusingly-named Aer Lingus. The funniest thing I've seen so far, is the spire , which also has many other names, most of which rhyme. It's basically this really tall pointy poll, that isn't even 100% straight, I figure if you're going to cause the entire male population of a city insecurity issues, at least don't make it crooked! However, the river Liffe (proniounced Liffy) has nice bridges that cross it, and is very useful for navigational purposes back to my hostel. There are really cute yellow and blue double decker buses.
A debate has arisen between two of my friends: which dialect is impossible to understand: The Dublin dialect or the Cork one. More on that when I actually get to Cork...
People on my program seem nice, and I'm looking forward to actually going to Cork and meeting UCC people, not just people from the US. anyway, I'm falling asleep. more later...
Xaipe,
D'or

Hi D'or! I had no idea you decided to go abroad next (/this) semester. As I'm waiting to leave for my flight home in an hour and a half, I just wanted to wish you a wonderful semester, and let you know that I will be keeping up with all of your adventures. Good luck!
Ok, that comment above was actually me, Chelsea, from alpha delt. Didn't realize my friend had borrowed my computer.
Enjoy orientation! Am I right that you're going to be Cork-based for most of the semester? I'm having fun fiddling with blog settings and posting our locations... :)
